About Cinderella Day 2014

The North Charleston Dream Center is excited to announce that they will be hosting CINDERELLA DAY CHARLESTON on March 1, 2014 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m at the North Charleston Dream Center – located at 5505 N. Rhett Avenue.

girls2013For the seventh consecutive year, girls from Charleston and the surrounding areas will attend this event and receive everything that they need to make their high school proms a success! Cinderella Day’s focus is to help girls in need specifically from Title I (One) schools. The day will boast a boutique filled with FREE dresses, shoes, jewelry and accessories.  Each girl will be matched with a personal shopper who will help in making their prom dreams come true and make them feel like the princesses that they are!  Food will be served, as girls can wait over 2 hours until their name is called and prizes will be given away during this time to make their experience fun and exciting.

Beautiful DressThe North Charleston Dream Center will once again be partnering with businesses and stylists to provide dresses, shoes, food and giveaways for FREE.  This is where YOU can help!  We are asking for generous, tax-deductible donations and sponsorships to make this day a success.

The center hopes to bring together teens from many schools and counties. The event’s purpose is to treat every teen, regardless of financial status, like royalty for the day while meeting a need at the same time.  Our goal this year is to serve 300 girls!

Jewelry Table PicLast year local businesses, along with hundreds of community members, rallied around the event and donated more than 800 dresses as well as shoes, bras, bags and jewelry items. In addition, donations included gift certificates, makeovers, corsages, floral arrangements, limo rides and more that were raffled off to the teens in attendance!

Participation is free. Friends and families are welcome. Light refreshments will be provided.

  3. My daughter is a sophomore at Goose Creek High School and is in one of the special ed classes. She won’t be going to her high school’s prom, but every year there is a “prom” for the special ed classes of Berkeley County. Her teacher gave us a flyer for this event. Would she be eligible for this activity?

  4. Thank you ago much for such an awesome day! So many beautiful dresses and so many princesses.just as your description said: everything a girl can dream of including her own personal assistant to help coordinate her every detail. Brandi was our assistant. She was awesome! Thank you to EVERYONE who worked in front of and behind the scenes to make this event happen. I cried and cheered to see my daughter show off her pretty dress for all to see….and I’m filled with happy years again as I thank you….thank you

    • Jennifer- thank YOU so much for attending and bringing your beautiful daughter! It is a true joy for us to watch these girls transform on the inside as they get pampered and treated like the princesses that they ARE!
