Cinderella Day is about creating a moment of change for a girl to see herself in a new light. We accomplish this by hosting a no-cost one day event for high school teens that transforms a young lady from the inside out. Boutique style personal shopping fulfills all of their prom needs (dresses, shoes, accessories, and etc.) Help us make Cinderella Day as a magical as it should be.
The North Charleston Dream Center is excited to announce they will be hosting CINDERELLA DAY CHARLESTON on March 2, 2019 from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m at the North Charleston Dream Center – located at 5505 N. Rhett Avenue.
For the twelfth consecutive year, girls from Charleston and the surrounding areas will attend this event and receive everything that they need to make their high school proms a success! Cinderella Day’s focus is to help local teens. The day will boast a boutique filled with FREE dresses, shoes, jewelry and accessories. Each girl will be matched with a personal shopper who will help in making their prom dreams come true and make them feel like the princesses that they are! Cinderellas will enjoy music, food, have their hair and make-up, receive giveaways, professional photographer and meet new friends! This is a fun and exciting day they will not forget!
The North Charleston Dream Center will once again be partnering with businesses and stylists to provide dresses, shoes, food and giveaways for FREE. This is where YOU can help! We are asking for generous, tax-deductible donations and sponsorships to make this day a success.
The center hopes to bring together teens from many schools and counties. The event’s purpose is to treat every teen, regardless of financial status, like royalty for the day while meeting a need at the same time. Our goal this year is to serve 250 girls!
Last year local businesses, along with hundreds of community members, rallied around the event and donated more than 1,000 dresses as well as shoes, bras, bags and jewelry items. In addition, donations included gift certificates, makeovers, corsages, floral arrangements, limo rides and more that were raffled off to the teens in attendance!

What do you need to bring to have girl receive a dress?
You just have to show up!! We will open the doors at 10 am on March 5th but there are no special requirements to receive a dress!

My daughter is a sophomore at Goose Creek High School and is in one of the special ed classes. She won’t be going to her high school’s prom, but every year there is a “prom” for the special ed classes of Berkeley County. Her teacher gave us a flyer for this event. Would she be eligible for this activity?

There is no cost- the entire event is free!!

This event is specifically designed for girls that are of high-school aged. For special exceptions, email us directly and we will see if we can help!
Will you have numerous dresses for plus size teens? 20/22, 22/24,24/26??
I also have tons of accessories to donate.
We definitely will! We want all sized princesses to feel beautiful, loved and seen!! We have loads to choose from!

Of course! We love having dads around! Men aren’t allowed in the dressing room areas but there will be plenty for him to do and eat while he waits!!

I just want to thank you for having this event! I dropped of a group of girls from Hanahan high and hope they all find what they need and have a great time being treated like the princesses they are! I also have dresses and shoes I would like to donate for next years Cinderella day. I didn’t hear about this event until the other day or else I would’ve donated them for today’s event. My daughter is 12 and has very low self esteem, kid’s make fun of her all the time. You guys should think about including preteens into this program.
